Junior Sourcing Engineer

The role

Sourcing sits between the customer's drawing and the factory floor. You will be the person who reads a specification, decides which suppliers can actually make it, works out what it should cost, and brings that answer back with evidence. It is technical work with a commercial edge, and you will learn both sides quickly.

What you’ll do

• Qualify suppliers across machining, casting, fabrication, and sheet metal on capability, capacity, and quality
• Send RFQs, chase quotes, and resolve technical queries between customer and vendor
• Read drawings: tolerances, GD&T, material callouts, surface finish, treatment
• Build costing models: material, process, tooling, overhead, logistics
• Compare quotes and recommend on cost, quality, and lead time
• Keep supplier data, costing sheets, and project notes accurate

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, or a related discipline
• Freshers welcome. A manufacturing internship or project is a plus
• Strong with numbers. You can sense when a cost breakdown looks wrong
• Clear written and spoken English, for suppliers and overseas customers
• Hindi is an advantage for suppliers across North India
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and technical drawings
• Willing to visit supplier facilities when a project needs it

We are a lean team, which means you will own real projects within your first few months rather than shadowing someone for a year. We are building software to remove the repetitive parts of sourcing, so your judgment goes into the decisions that matter and not into chasing spreadsheets. Expect direct feedback, short decision cycles, and room to take on more as soon as you are ready.
